Five Seahawks inactive for Monday night's game in Detroit due to injury

DETROIT – The Seahawks will be without five key defensive players on Monday night against the Lions.

Before leaving for Detroit, the Seahawks waived outside linebackers Boye Mafe and Uchenna Nwosu as well as defensive linebackers Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II, and Seattle is also without starting linebacker Jerome Baker, who was listed as questionable on Saturday's injury report.

With those players sidelined, the Seahawks signed outside linebacker Tyus Bowser and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna from the practice squad, and both are active. The Seahawks will lean on Dre'Mont Jones and Derick Hall to lead the way at fullback in the absence of Mafe and Nwosu, with Bowser and Trevis Gipson also helping out, while on defense they'll find Jarran Reed, Johnathan Hankins, Mike Morris and Myles Adams will lead the attack without Williams and Murphy.

The good news on the injury front is that running back Kenneth Walker III is back after missing the last two games with an oblique injury.

The Lions, meanwhile, have to make do without safety Brian Branch and Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow.
