Raiders News: Training is key for Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders survived without Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby as they defeated the visiting Cleveland Browns 20-16 on Sunday.

Will they have to try to win at the Denver Broncos on Sunday without their two superstars?

Raiders coach Antonio Pierce didn't have that answer Monday and it could be a few more days. Pierce said Monday that he had no real injury updates on the status of Adams and Crosby. Adams injured his hamstring in practice Thursday and Crosby was dealing with an upper ankle sprain. ESPN reported Sunday that Adams will be present week to week.

The Raiders will have to wait and see how the week of practice goes for both players.

Meanwhile, Pierce said second-year tight end Michael Mayer is still dealing with a personal issue that kept him out of Sunday's game.

The team also played without linebacker Divine Deablo (oblique), tackle Thayer Munford (ankle/knee) and cornerback Decamerion Richardson (hamstring).

Guard Dylan Parham injured his Achilles tendon on Sunday. Pierce said he could have finished the game, but the team was cautious. Pierce had no update on Parham on Monday.

Meanwhile, Pierce said running back Alexander Mattison deserves more reps and he will get them. The free agent signing had 60 yards rushing on five carries on Sunday.
