Two men are accused of sexually abusing 12-year-old girls in North Kingstown

Two men have to answer for sexually molesting two 12-year-old girls.

North Kingstown police said they received a call just before 3 a.m. Saturday from two girls who reported they had been sexually assaulted.

The two girls told police they were attacked in the parking lot on Marine Road near the bike path by 19-year-old Dustin Buckley of Connecticut and 19-year-old Austin Sumner of Massachusetts.

Police discovered the pair were at a house in Coventry when one of the men contacted them via a public Snapchat account.

According to officials, the girls were picked up at a nearby park at 1 a.m. by Buckley and Sumner.

The men then took the girls to the Marine Road parking lot.

According to police, one of the girls in the vehicle was sexually assaulted by both men.

The girls told police that Buckley and Sumner had a tent near the beach.

Both men were located along with a 12-year-old boy they knew.

Police said Buckley and Sumner provided the boy with marijuana and alcohol.

Buckley is charged with four counts of first-degree child sexual abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a child under 16 and possession of alcohol.

Sumner faces two counts of first-degree child abuse, sexual assault, indecent solicitation of a child, aiding and abetting the delinquency of a child under 16 and possession of alcohol.

“Why do people do this? How could you address a child?” said a resident.

Both were arraigned Monday and held without bail.
