2 Arrested, 1 Wanted for Fentanyl Trafficking | News

PADUCAH – Paducah police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man wanted for fentanyl trafficking following an investigation last Thursday.

According to the department, investigators received information that Ronnie “Ty” Copeland, 32, was selling fentanyl and observed a suspected drug transaction between him and Karen Burgher, 51, of Paducah. Investigators reportedly found 1,500 fentanyl pills in the vehicle Burgher was driving. Burgher was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated trafficking in the controlled substance fentanyl.

Investigators then reportedly found additional fentanyl for sale during a search of the home Copeland shares with 35-year-old Ashley Lastinger of Paducah. Lastinger was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree complicity in aggravated trafficking in the controlled substance fentanyl.

Copeland is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Paducah police at 270-444-8550 or submit a tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers.
