Florida man arrested in double murder in Frederick County

A 33-year-old man was arrested Saturday in Florida in connection with an August double murder in Frederick County.

Frederick County sheriff's deputies responded to the 7000 block of Mandalalong Court in New Market around 7 a.m. Aug. 25 and found Crimea Baker, 33, and Sean Lange, 34, dead and shot multiple times, the sheriff's office said with. According to Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, a preliminary investigation revealed the victims were shot around 1:30 a.m. Police found four of Baker's children unharmed inside the home, the sheriff's office said. Lange was the father of one of her children and the victims lived together, the office added.

“During the anxious wait for closure and the arrest of the person responsible, the public has been extremely patient and can now be completely confident that this was a targeted domestic murder,” Jenkins said in a news release.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Fort Lauderdale police officers and FBI agents arrested a 33-year-old Miami man on a warrant issued the day of the murders.
