Virginia man arrested for drug trafficking in Culpeper, Prince William County

After a three-month investigation, a Virginia man has been arrested for a drug trafficking operation in Culpeper and Prince William counties, according to Virginia State Police.

Officers with the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force executed search warrants at homes in both counties on Sept. 26 and 29, officials said.

During the searches, officers seized 2,857 grams of fentanyl, two handguns, a rifle and $26,363 in cash, officials said. One of the handguns was reportedly stolen in Manassas.

As a result of the searches, officers arrested 33-year-old Stewart L. Skinner III and charged him with maintaining a drug house, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a stolen firearm.

Officials said Skinner is also wanted in Prince William County. He was taken to the Prince William County Adult Jail where he is being held without bail.

This investigation is ongoing.
