Five Atlanta Braves in the 2024 All-MLB ballot

On the final day of the 2024 MLB regular season – excluding tomorrow's games against the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets – MLB released the list of players eligible for selection to the 2024 All-MLB Teams. The players for the first and second teams will be announced on November 14, 2024 in Las Vegas.

The Braves have five players on the ballot — three pitchers and two position players. The pitchers include National League Cy Young Award hopeful Chris Sale, fellow starter Reynaldo López and closer Raisel Iglesias. The two position players are designated hitter Marcell Ozuna and first baseman Matt Olson.

Sale and López, both in their first season in Atlanta, anchored a Braves rotation that was without Spencer Strider for most of the season.

Sale had his best season since 2017 and has a chance to win the National League Pitcher's Triple Crown for best ERA, most strikeouts and most wins.

López returned as a full-time starter for the first time since 2019. He responded with 25 starts and finished the regular season with a 2.00 ERA.

Iglesias was among the best late-inning relievers in all of MLB, with 33 saves in 62 games and a .706 WHIP in 68 innings.

Olson enters Sunday's contest with the Kansas City Royals one home run and two RBIs shy of his 30 home runs and 100 RBI season. He has also appeared in every Braves game this season. Although his numbers differed from those of this record-breaking 2023 season, he was still one of the best first basemen in the National League. Olson was a second-team All-MLB selection last season.

Ozuna, who has also appeared in every Braves game this season, is one shy of 40 consecutive home runs with Atlanta. He flirted with leading the National League in batting average and will finish in the top five in numerous offensive categories. He will likely finish in the top five for National League MVP.

All-MLB voting is open until October 11, 2024 at MLB.com/AllMLB.
