Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff makes NFL history with a perfect game against the Seattle Seahawks

That was the play call on the back pass from St. Brown to Goff that ended up being a big play. It was Goff's first career touchdown reception and St. Brown's first touchdown pass.

Turns out the play had been in the playbook for years, but it was specially brought out on Monday and they were able to play it when Seattle gave them the defense they were looking for.

“We call it 'Alcatraz,'” Goff said after the game. “We often have these plays in the game plan, and they don't always just happen. It has to be the right scenario for them, and the hook-and-ladder was the perfect scenario for that, and the same goes for Alcatraz tonight.” . When they get called you get a little excited in the crowd but you have to get the look right and we did that.

But why is it called Alcatraz?

“I don't know it. Ben (Johnson) called it – it’s been called Alcatraz for the last two or three years,” Goff said. “I don’t think I ever asked him why. There's probably a reason. I should probably know; I just don’t know.”
