Officials botched the Seahawks' 2-point attempt

The Seahawks got within 28-20 for 11 seconds total, but settled for a two-yard run after Kenneth Walker's 1-yard run. This is a step recommended by analytics.

Geno Smith threw a pass to DK Metcalf in the end zone on the attempt. Metcalf caught it, but officials ruled it incomplete. Cornerback Carlton Davis was called for pass interference, giving Seattle another chance.

However, replays showed Metcalf went down with his knee on a ball, so it should have been ruled a successful attempt.

Seattle was not allowed to challenge because the replay booth was supposed to make it an automatic challenge. They didn't do that.

Smith's second attempt against Jake Bobo failed, giving the Lions an 8-point lead.

The Lions gained a two-point lead on the next snap.

Jared Goff hit Jameson Williams for a one-play score of 70 yards and a 35-20 lead.

Goff is 15 of 15 for 225 yards and a touchdown, and he also caught a touchdown pass on a trick play where Amon-Ra St. Brown threw his first touchdown.
