Bengaluru police respond to a viral video in which a man tries to break into a woman's car

A woman from Bengaluru had a horrific experience after a man tried to break into her car. As a video of the incident went viral on social media, the Bengaluru Police responded and said necessary action would be taken against the man.

The short clip posted by X account Karnataka Portfolio claimed that the incident took place near the Marathahalli Bridge service road.

According to the post, the girl was waiting at the spot when the man approached her car. Since she was alone, he allegedly tried to open all four doors of the vehicle but was unable to do so because they were locked.

“A girl was waiting near the Marathahalli Bridge approach road when a man approached her car. He noticed she was alone and tried to open all four doors but couldn't because they were locked,” the viral post reads.

As she recorded the disturbing moment, the man walked to the passenger side and tried to break the window. The woman then fled the spot as she barely managed to escape, which could have put her in a dangerous situation.

“As she began to document the situation, he stepped on her right side and attempted to break the window. Realizing the danger, she quickly started the car and drove away.”

The viral post, which included the video of the incident, was intended to caution others, especially women, to be vigilant.

“She (the woman) wanted to share this experience to warn other women to stay vigilant and ensure their safety in similar situations. Always lock your doors and trust your instincts,” the post’s caption reads.

In response, the Bengaluru Police assured the public that they have taken note of the situation. “We have informed the police officers concerned about the necessary measures.”

They later shared in another post: “We participated in accordance with the law.”

The incident was a stark reminder for everyone to remain vigilant and take precautions when driving alone.
