Court hearing for man accused of attacking woman at Summit County Metro Park

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The 32-year-old man accused of attacking a woman at a Metro Park in Summit County Metro Parks last month is expected to be arraigned in Summit County Court of Common Pleas on Tuesday.

Issac Armor is charged with kidnapping, attempted rape, kidnapping and gross sexual assault.

Akron police said the attack happened Aug. 12 on Cuyahoga Street near Trailhead.

Officers said Armor grabbed the victim from behind and began attacking her as she exited the restroom.

Three good Samaritans heard the victim screaming and were able to pull him away from the attacker, police said.

A witness reportedly hit Armor in the head with a rock to incapacitate him.

“This was a violent attack and my office will work hard to hold this perpetrator accountable,” said Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich. “I would also like to thank the three good Samaritans who came to the aid of the victim and helped apprehend the suspect.”
