Pamela Anderson distances herself from the new “Baywatch” documentary

Pamela Anderson talks about her past reputation and how she wants to be seen in the future.

In an interview with shine, The model and actress, 57, spoke about where she is in her life after this playboy, Baywatch, a documentary and more. Anderson explained to the medium that she wants to distance herself from the old version of herself – the one that made her famous – but that she has no intention of returning for any rumored projects related to her past.

“Even today, someone showed me something that Hulu does, something like that Baywatch [documentary]“I have nothing to do with that,” she said, although reports indicate that original members of the show will be there. “And so they just dug up an interview, but I had nothing to do with that documentary. They begged everyone around me. They tried to get my kids to talk me into it. They said they would give them producer credits.”

“I mean, they tried everything,” she continued. “And I said, 'No, I really don't want to go backwards.'”

The Last Showgirl Stern said that too Pam and Tommy, She never ignored the biographical drama on Hulu about her public romance with now-ex-husband Tommy Lee. However, Lily James (who played Anderson) and series creator Robert Siegel said Anderson never responded to their attempts to reach her.

“I’ve never had any input. I didn’t know anything about it,” Anderson claimed.

Thinking back to when her sex tape with Lee from their honeymoon in 1995 was leaked, the actress said “it was a complete crime” committed against her. The miniseries then brought back those negative memories.

“It hit me a lot harder than I imagined,” she shared. “Because the thought made me so sick when it came out, this Hulu thing. It really felt like another kick in the gut that people might find so entertaining. And that was…I think I lost my husband, my mind, my career.”

“I didn’t realize it at the time,” she added. “It's like post-trauma, and then you just start acting out. And I knew a lot of things happened [to me] that I could have handled it differently. In this world, how you manage your career really matters. And I was just in the Wild West.”

At that time, Anderson said she started taking jobs she wouldn't normally do, such as reality TV appearances Big Brotherbecause she had to support her family. Now she said she hopes to live a life that she creates for herself.

“Well, it’s shedding those layers, those protective layers,” she said. “I realized from a young age that I was playing roles my whole life. I had such a strong imagination. And that's exactly what I did. I didn't know it was a job. And then when I moved here [to the US from Canada] and then playboy or be married to Tommy or whatever. I just always wanted to be the best that I could be. What is a Playmate? What is a rock star's wife? What is a Baywatch [star]?”

“The last few years it's been an effort to just stay on my own and figure out what I love, what I like, what I want to do,” she concluded.
