Mumbai, October 1: New details have emerged about Bollywood actor Govinda's gunshot wound. The actor, who was cleaning his wardrobe when the incident occurred, suffered an injury because a small part of the lock on his gun was broken.

According to the sources, the actor was supposed to travel to Kolkata but before that, he was thinking about arranging his wardrobe when the unfortunate incident occurred where the lock of the gun was broken.

At the time of the incident, six bullets were loaded and one of them misfired in his foot following which he was immediately rushed to the hospital in Juhu. The actor's wife Sunita was in Kolkata at the time of the incident.

Doctors at the hospital have successfully removed the bullet from his leg and said the actor will remain under observation for some time before being discharged.

Earlier, during the day, actress Kashmera Shah, wife of actor Krushna Abhishek, reached Criti Care Hospital to meet her father-in-law Govinda. She arrived hurriedly in her car and refused to speak to the media given her family's situation. It is to be noted that Krushna and his uncle Govinda have not spoken to each other for the past few years. Kashmera's presence at such times highlights the importance of a family in a person's life.

Krushna Abhishek also shared a health update about Govinda, his maternal uncle, on Instagram. He wrote: “Mom is better now. Thank you all for your prayers and love. I wish him a speedy recovery. God is good. Please keep your prayers pouring in.”
