Man arrested for major drug operation in Culpeper, Prince William

Police said they seized 2,857 grams of fentanyl in the form of approximately 25,000 pills.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – After a three-month investigation, a man has been arrested in connection with a sweeping drug operation that spanned two Virginia counties.

Woodbridge resident Stewart L. Skinner III, 33, was arrested by the state police Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force.

Investigators searched homes in Culpeper and Prince William counties on September 26 and 29 and found 2,857 grams of fentanyl in the form of approximately 25,000 pills, two handguns, a rifle and $26,363 in cash. According to police, one of the handguns was stolen from Manassas.

Skinner was charged with maintaining a fortified drug house, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I/II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while possessing a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of an automatic firearm.

Skinner is currently being held without bail at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, where he was taken following his arrest.
