Start of the season – news, weather, sports from Boston

September ended as a relatively seasonal month in terms of temperatures and was overall a very dry month for many. Even in parts of Southeast Mass., which received large amounts of rain during the only storm on Friday/Saturday, many days of the month were dry.

Today we start October and pick up where we left off. This roughly corresponds to the seasonal values with maximum temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees. After the morning mist has cleared, more clouds have arrived today with only scattered showers on an otherwise calm day. The same applies to tomorrow.

It will be a little milder on Thursday and Friday with highs back in the 70s.

A few isolated showers are possible on Saturday, with fresh air returning on Sunday as the sun fades.

The next chance for wet weather will arrive sometime Monday afternoon into Tuesday.
