St. George man arrested with allegedly 20 pounds of meth

UTAH COUNTY, Utah – The Utah County Sheriff's Office says it has arrested a 26-year-old for alleged possession of 20 pounds of meth and distribution of the drug.

Court documents filed by the Sheriff's Office state that the Utah County Major Crimes Unit has been investigating Kyler David Holt for the alleged distribution of illegal controlled substances in Utah County. During the investigation, investigators learned that Kyler was driving back to Utah County from another state with what was believed to be a large amount of illegal controlled substances.

Investigators would obtain a search warrant for Kyler Holt and his vehicle before he arrived in the county. During a traffic stop, Holt was arrested and his vehicle was searched.

During the search, 20 pounds of a substance was located in the vehicle and tested at the scene, which revealed the substance to be methamphetamine.

Kyler David Holt is now being held without bail.
