Florida man wanted for child pornography arrested in Middleburg Heights

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Florida man wanted for possession of child pornography was arrested Monday in Middleburg Heights.

Polk County sheriff's deputies charged 24-year-old Coby Silcott with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, authorities said. On September 16, deputies issued an arrest warrant for Silcott.

After an investigation, members of the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force determined that Silcott had fled to Ohio. Members of a U.S. Marshals task force arrested him at a hotel in the 17500 block of Rosbough Drive.

After the arrest, authorities seized two cellphones from Silcott. He remains in the Cuyahoga County Jail until he is extradited to Polk County in Winter Haven, Florida, for arraignment.

“The U.S. Marshals Service will always protect the innocence and rights of children,” Pete Elliott, the U.S. Marshal in northern Ohio, said in a statement.
