Woman arrested in Henry County drug raid

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A woman was arrested following a drug bust Monday in Henry County, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Tara Noelle Coleman, 32, of Martinsville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear.

According to deputies, the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Narcotics Interdiction Unit and SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant in the 500 block of Figsboro Road in Martinsville. Officers allegedly seized methamphetamine and a white, powdery, crystal-like substance.

Deputies add that Coleman also had to be removed from Henry County because he failed to appear in court on a previous charge.

The substances were sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for analysis, deputies say.
