Stolen car of man found dead in Tangipahoa Parish recovered | Livingston/Tangipahoa

A person fled on foot after striking a stolen car owned by a man found dead in Tangipahoa Parish over the weekend, Baton Rouge police said Monday.

The vehicle, a black Lincoln MKX, belonged to William Abraham, police said. Abraham, 69, of Baton Rouge, was found dead just before 8 a.m. Sunday after suffering blunt force injuries. He was curled up on the side of the road in LA. 51 between Fluker and the village of Tangipahoa.

Officers spotted the vehicle around 12:20 a.m. Monday in the 4200 block of South Sherwood Forest Boulevard. The driver, whose identity is unknown, crashed the vehicle and fled on foot.
