Pittsfield resident arrested on multiple charges including assault, threatening to murder and cocaine trafficking

Pittsfield— According to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office, 34-year-old resident Teige Harden was arrested by city police on September 27 following a domestic incident.

Police arrested Harden after he allegedly assaulted a household member.

When he was arrested, officers discovered approximately 106 grams of cocaine in his pants pocket.

Harden was arrested on several charges:

  • Assault and bodily harm with a dangerous weapon (pistol);
  • possession of a firearm as a felony;
  • Improper storage of a firearm;
  • Possession of a firearm without a Firearm Identification Card (FID);
  • possession of ammunition without an FID card;
  • Threatening to commit a crime (murder);
  • Assault and battery against a family/household member, subsequent offense;
  • Trafficking in cocaine of more than 100 grams and less than 200 grams.

Harden was arraigned Sept. 30 in Central Berkshire District Court, where the judge in the case ordered Harden held without bail pending a hearing.

According to the district attorney's office, Harden has an extensive criminal record in Virginia from 2008 to 2021.
