Argo PD celebrates national drug enforcement award

ARGO, Ala. – A member of Argos Best was was recognized this summer at the National Interdiction Conference in Anaheim, California for the largest seizure of illegal narcotics in its category.

Cpl. Argo Police Department Cason Davis was honored with the prestigious national award in 2023 for his outstanding enforcement efforts.

His successes included the seizure of over 90 pounds of synthetic narcotics, 15 pounds of marijuana edibles and over 1 pound of THC pill pens.

The conference took place from August 12th to 15th and was hosted by Desert Snow and the National Criminal Enforcement Association welcomed interdiction teams from across the country.

The National Interdiction Network praised Davis, saying, “There are no words to express our sincere appreciation for the efforts you have made to combat America's war on drugs and terrorism.”

Davis said this award not only highlights his personal commitment, but also reflects the high quality of officers within the Argo Police Department.

He also stressed that the recognition highlights the ministry's proactive approach to combating illegal drugs and ensuring community safety.

“This award is a testament to the commitment of many people who have mentored me and motivated me to achieve excellence,” said Davis.

“It is a privilege to serve our community and show we are committed to making it a safer place for everyone.”

He also thanked the Argo City Council and Mayor for their support.

Davis was the one Alabama's sole representative and one of only two state officials to be honored.

The Argo Police Department congratulated Davis on his remarkable achievement and thanked him for his exemplary service in protecting and serving the community.
