Viral music group comes to Zanesville – WHIZ

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Concert Association regularly brings together professional musicians from around the world to perform locally.

Concert Association President Sheryl Wise and booking agent Jim McLaughlin announced the upcoming visit of a popular Internet act from Florida that has drawn more than 160 million viewers.

“We are promoting Voctave, which will be performing at Secrest Auditorium this Sunday at 3 p.m. This is an 11 piece vocal group that is fabulous. “There are no instruments except the voice, the human voice, and they will play Disney to Broadway,” McLaughlin said.

The Concert Association strongly promotes the educational creativity that arts and entertainment performances can inspire in youth. Voctave will stay an extra day to perform the annual fourth grade statewide field trip concert.

“This is something we have been doing for many, many years thanks to our Zanesville Concert Association Foundation. And the Straker Foundation is also providing funding so that every fourth grader in the Muskingum County area has the opportunity to come to listen to this group on Monday mornings, free of charge. And that provides for busing and substitute teachers if they need them, and the kids can also attend our wonderful Secrest Auditorium,” Wise said.

The concert on Sunday is free for children and students with a valid ID. McLaughlin recommends adults purchase season memberships, which allow admission for the remainder of the season for the price of about two concerts.
