1 arrested for drugs, fleeing police and other reports – Albert Lea Tribune

Police arrested Joseph Edward Katra, 29, on charges of fifth-degree drug possession and fleeing on foot at 1:04 a.m. Sunday at 130 W. College. He was also trespassed from the bar.

Half fire reported
At 8:39 p.m. Friday, it was reported that a semi-trailer carrying meat was on fire on Interstate 90 near Albert Lea.

Teen tried for marijuana and e-cigarettes
Police charged a juvenile with possession of marijuana under 21 and possession of a nicotine vape at 9:11 a.m. Friday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

A school bus stop arm violation was reported
At 1:40 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a school bus stop bar violation that had occurred earlier in the day near YH Hanson Avenue and Sykes Street.

Hit-and-run accident reported
On Friday at 2:50 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run accident near Bridge Avenue and East Richway Drive.

Wallet reported stolen
On Friday at 4:49 p.m., police received a report that at 207 S. Fifth Ave. a wallet was stolen.

House burglarized
On Friday at 5:19 p.m., police received a report of a break-in at a home on Academy Ave. 1510.

Bicycles stolen
At 2:27 a.m. Saturday, a bicycle was reported stolen at 326 Court St.
A black and red children's bicycle was found on Margaretha Ave. at 2:03 p.m. Saturday. 2402 reported stolen. The theft happened sometime in the morning.

1 arrested in A&D custody
Police arrested 36-year-old Amber Dawn Rodriguez at 608 Freeborn Ave. on Saturday at 7:40 p.m.

Theft reported
At 5:23 a.m. Sunday, police received a report of a person taking a clay pot from outside the store at 833 S. Broadway and leaving behind a red bicycle with a cart.

Hit and run reported
A hit-and-run accident was reported at 8:52 a.m. Sunday near Fountain Street and North Third Avenue. The crash occurred sometime overnight.

Vehicle tampered with
On Sunday at 12:12 p.m., police received a report of a tampered vehicle at 1630 Gateway Drive.

At 10:16 a.m. Monday, police received a report of a school bus stop bar violation that occurred Friday near Crystal Drive and Quisley Street.

Police received a report of a theft at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave., at 7:03 p.m. Monday. from Thursday.

Hit and run reported
A hit-and-run accident was reported at 2751 E. Main St. Monday at 7:52 p.m.

1 was arrested on a warrant
Police arrested Kristin Marie Anderson, 39, on a local warrant following a traffic stop at 606 Albert Lea St. at 10:02 p.m. Monday.
