Elon Musk comments on Trump's dispute with Biden over Hurricane Helene

Vance's aggressive rhetoric, baseless conspiracies and just plain weird comments have angered Americans in all the wrong ways in the months since he was chosen as Donald Trump's right-hand man. The election of the Republican vice president has taken place vehemently defended his position that childless adults should not hold positions of power because they have no “direct interest” in the country's future, and derided Democratic Party leaders as “Childless cat ladies.”

He also made up a lie about Haitian migrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio, which at least caused a stir 33 bomb threats to the sleepy town, forcing it to evacuate and temporarily close several of its schools, colleges, festivals, and a significant portion of its government facilities, including City Hall, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the Ohio License Bureau, the Springfield Academy of Excellence, and Fulton Elementary School.

And Vance's broader public appearances have done anything but humanize him into the country's voting class. In August, the MAGA Republican's quick stop for some glazed donuts at a Georgia store went viral when it became clear that the visit — and his general rudeness — made some people behind the counter painfully uncomfortable.
