Suspect arrested in Sylvania Twp. Shots in which two people were injured

Sean Landis, 53, of New Jersey, was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to the Sylvania Township Police Department.

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A suspect has been arrested and charged for allegedly shooting two people at a home in Sylvania Township last month.

The Sylvania Township Police Department said Sean Landis, 53, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, was arrested Monday in Las Vegas. He is charged with two counts of assault and police said they are seeking his extradition to Toledo.

According to police, Landis is a former employee of one of the victims.

The victims, who have not yet been identified, called 911 on Sept. 9 to report that an unknown person had entered their home in the 4500 block of Crossfields Road, near Corey Road, and shot them.

Sylvania Township police were at the home just before 1 a.m. providing aid to the two victims inside the home. Police said the victims were hospitalized in serious condition. The current condition of the victims is unknown.

In a 911 call to Sylvania Township police, one of the victims states that he was shot four to five times, including in the face and legs. The same caller said they chased the intruder out of the house.
