UFC “Contender Series” results, live coverage and full fight highlights | Season 8, episode. 8

It's time!

Contender series continues with mixed martial arts (MMA) action for 10 weeks. Week five ends tonight at 8pm ET on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, in front of the UFC CEO, Dana Whiteas well as his cadre of matchmakers.

As has become standard for the program of late, all five fighters received UFC contracts last week.

In the main event tonight Diyar Nurgozhay (9-0) is the first fighter from Kazakhstan to take part in the show as he takes on Poland Bartosz Szewczyk (8-2). Carlos Calderon (6-2) enters the fight at very short notice Alberto Montes (9-1) in the co-main. The “Featured” fight features the combat bantamweight champion and the top contender David Martínez (10-1) go undefeated Xavier Franklin (5-0). Torres Finney (9-0) returns for his third shot at a UFC contract, his second time this season Abdellah Er-Ramy (7-1). Former Oklahoma State wrestling star and mega-contender Jacobe Smith (8-0) starts against Canada Christien Savoie (10-1-1).
