Steph Curry's LeBron James and Kevin Durant quote is going viral

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry was joined by several other NBA legends on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While playing with some of the greatest players in basketball history, Curry led Team USA with two dominant performances in the semifinals and gold medal game.

The semifinal against Serbia and the gold medal game against France were two standout moments in Curry's legendary career. The highlight of those two games was Curry's fourth-quarter breakthrough against France to win the gold medal.

Curry capped his fourth-quarter upset with a 3-pointer over two defenders, hitting that shot while both LeBron James and Kevin Durant were open.

When asked if James and Durant were open, Curry laughed and said, “Do you think they were open?” They were 100 percent open.”

Asked about the idea that both James and Durant were okay with him taking that shot even though both were open, Curry laughed again and added, “I wouldn't say that either because I read body language pretty well.” “When I looked at it again, I fell into a trap and threw it to KD. LeBron was open in swing, swing, but KD threw it back to me. Once he does that, your muscle memory takes over.”

Curry's recollection of this play went viral on X and this post was viewed over 425,000 times.

“It was a memorable memory for sure,” Curry said.
