According to police, a woman was attacked and injured on the Roseland, Chicago Red Line train platform at West 95th Street

CHICAGO (WLS) – A woman was attacked on a South Side platform on the CTA Red Line Tuesday evening, Chicago police said.

Police said it happened just after 5 p.m. at the 95th/Dan Ryan Station in Roseland

Two women, ages 31 and 23, were involved in a physical altercation with a group of unknown people, police said.

Police said the two women were on the platform when the group beat them up. During the fight, the 23-year-old suffered a cut to his shoulder.

The victim was taken to Christ Hospital in good condition, police said. The 31-year-old refused medical attention.

The perpetrators fled on foot in an unknown direction.

There is no one in custody and Area Two detectives are investigating.
