The Lynx played shutdown defense from start to finish, did just enough offense and with a push from the bench, the Lynx beat the Connecticut Sun 77-70 and sent the best-of-five series back to Connecticut in a tie.

The Sun hosts the Lynx in Game 3 on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Courtney Williams struggled in the first half but stepped up in the second, scoring 17 points. Alanna Smith had 15, Kayla McBride had 11.

Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, the runner-up for the WNBA MVP award, had nine points and 12 rebounds but made just three of 14 field shots.
