MELROSE TWP., Minn. – A two-car crash in Stearns County leaves two people injured, including a toddler.

On Friday, September 27, around 6 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff's Office said 45-year-old Tyler Alm of Alexandria was driving west on County Road 65 in Melrose Township when his car blew a tire.

Alm told officers he looked back to see what happened when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the car driven by 26-year-old Zachary Cole and a 3-year-old girl from Melrose.

Cole and the girl were taken to the local hospital for their injuries.

It is believed that appropriate child restraint systems were in use at the time of the accident.

Alm was issued a ticket for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance.
