Man arrested for shooting after homecoming party

Fayette police arrested a man Monday in connection with a Sept. 21 shooting after a homecoming party, police said.

On September 21, an unnamed man was shot and several vehicles and a residence were damaged by gunfire on Main Street in Fayette.

Ronald Thompson III, 25, was arrested Sept. 30 on charges related to the shooting and released on $40,000 bail following his initial court appearance.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are pending, police said. No further details were released.
