Muncie man arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession

MUNCIE, Ind. – A Muncie man was arrested on drug trafficking and firearms charges after a traffic stop on the city's south side early Friday.

A city police officer said he stopped a Dodge Charger around 2:50 a.m. near 16th and Hackley Streets after observing it speeding and also noting that its registered owner, 29-year-old Devon Edward Bricker, had a suspended driver's license.

However, the officer learned that another man was driving the Charger, with Bricker in the passenger seat.

Other officers who responded to the scene reported discovering a plastic bag containing 6.5 grams of marijuana in the car. This triggered a search that also resulted in the seizure of two plastic bags containing more than 50 grams of cocaine, another bag containing 56 grams of meth, several pills believed to be prescription narcotics, and even more pills believed to be prescription narcotics It was probably “pressed fentanyl”.
