Jawaad ​​Ali sentenced to 90 years in prison for the murder of Samer Alhalayqa

MOUNT HOLLY – A 33-year-old man has received a 90-year prison sentence for his role in a murder in Mount Laurel.

According to the Burlington County District Attorney's Office, Jawaad ​​Ali of Lindenwold was accused of luring 31-year-old Samer Alhalayqa to commit a fatal robbery at a room at the Fairfield Inn in May 2020. Alhalayqa was suffocated and his body was dragged to a third-floor hallway at the Century Parkway Hotel.

A prosecutor's statement said Alhalayqa's debit card was used for ATM withdrawals, purchases at Amazon and at a pizzeria.
