Rockstar Games confirms gameplay, mission details leaked

Rockstar Games has apparently confirmed a leak revealing gameplay and mission details for its upcoming title Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6.

GTA 6 Countdown, an X account that regularly posts about the title, has shared a bullet point breakdown of the latest rumors about the game, a gaming website reported.

The post included a screenshot that was later removed by the copyright holder, leading fans to speculate as to whether the rumors were actually true.

Rumor has it that Lucia will be the central character in Rockstar Games' upcoming title, while she and Jason will have separate introductory missions.

In addition, the publisher has developed the story more deeply, with the protagonists figuring things out and getting caught up in the family drama in the sixth installment of Grand Theft Auto.

Although it has been reported that GTA 6 will have extensive side content, its story will be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2.

Fans believed the rumors were true after GTA 6 Countdown retweeted the original post and wrote that Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, had removed the screenshot.

“This leak has been all but confirmed as we have just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar's parent company Take-Two,” the X-Handle wrote.

Meanwhile, fans are expecting Rockstar Games to release the second trailer for its highly anticipated GTA 6 on October 4th.

Rumors about the likely release of the second trailer intensified after the developer posted a job offer for a screenshot capture artist.

It's worth noting that Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, announced earlier this year that GTA 6 would be released in fall 2025.

Rockstar Games later announced that the sixth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series would be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but no release date for a PC version was announced.

The first and only trailer for the highly anticipated game was released last year, revealing that GTA 6 will be set in a fictional Vice City reminiscent of Miami and will feature the first playable female character in the franchise.
