Couple arrested in drug raid; Cocaine, cash confiscated

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Two people have been arrested after a weeks-long investigation led to a drug bust.

Baton Rouge Police confirmed that their Special Investigations Division executed a search warrant at an address on Goodwood Drive on Tuesday, September 24th.

Investigators said Blanco Noriega, 52, and Javier Garcia, 34, were arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute cocaine.

Law enforcement reportedly seized narcotics, a firearm and cash totaling $21,474.

Police said the investigation and search warrant are part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the community.

  • 48 bags of cocaine (approx. 41.1 grams)
  • Revolver RG 31, caliber .38, S/N Q116432
  • $21,474.00 in US currency
