A gas leak in Kansas City forces the evacuation of Academie Lafayette homes

Emergency crews have evacuated the Académie Lafayette Oak Campus and surrounding homes after a large gas leak was reported in the area. The school is located near East 69th Street and Oak Street in Kansas City, Missouri. KMBC 9 News was told at the scene that a road construction crew encountered a pipe in the area.
