Body-worn cameras capture the arrest of a man accused of shoving Flagler deputies

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla – New body-worn camera video from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office shows the arrest of a man accused of pushing a police officer on Saturday.

Jonah Harrington, 34, of Palm Coast, has been identified as the father of a teenager who was among a group of seven children – all under the age of 16 – who allegedly rode bikes in a Walmart that day, cursing and yelling at people as they set off car alarms, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

After officers caught up with the teens, who the sheriff's office said were riding bicycles near Cypress Edge Drive, they were trespassed as their parents were asked to pick them up, the release said.

When Harrington arrived at the scene, he was accused of “running toward and pushing a police officer,” according to the sheriff's office.

Body-worn camera video from two deputies shows Harrington being pulled down and handcuffed. He is also accused of trying to run away, hitting the hand of a second deputy and pushing away the arms of a third deputy, the release said.

Harrington is charged with resisting an officer with violence and three counts of assault on a police officer.

He was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Saturday and posted $30,000 bail and was scheduled to be released the following afternoon, records show.
