Richland One is partnering with Prisma Health to fight the flu

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Richland One School District is partnering with Prisma Health to combat the flu in the community, according to a news release.

Beginning October 3, Prisma Health will hold a series of flu vaccination clinics at various locations across the Midlands, including Richland One school sites.

Officials say free flu shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone six months old or older.

The October 5 flu shot clinic will be held at Lower Richland High School (2615 Lower Richland Boulevard, Hopkins, SC) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The October 19 flu shot clinic will be held at Dreher High School (3319 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All flu shot clinics are drive-thru clinics, except those held at the Prisma Health Baptist campus.

Consent forms are required and available at each site; Children under 16 years of age require a consent form signed by a parent/guardian.

A valid driver's license or other photo ID is required to receive the flu shot.

Saturday, October 12, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Dent Middle School (2721 Decker Boulevard in Columbia, SC).

Saturday, October 19, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Dreher High School (3319 Millwood Avenue in Columbia, SC).

Saturday, October 26, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Sumter High School (2580 McCray's Mill Road in Sumter, SC).

Thursdays, October 3, October 17, and October 31, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Prisma Health Baptist's Beaman Auditorium (1501 Sumter Street in Columbia, SC).
(Note: Free parking is available. Use the Sumter Street parking garage and take the elevator to the ground floor.)
