2 people arrested in shooting behind Walmart

On September 26, Horry County officers responded to 1705 South Kings Highway at the Walmart Neighborhood Market for a gun discharge.

According to the report, officers said there was a verbal altercation between the perpetrator and the victim. The perpetrator then pulled out a firearm and shot the victim once.

According to the report, the suspect then ran away from the store's entrance and got into a white SUV before driving north on Kings Highway.

According to the report, officers found a shell casing found at the entrance to the store and an unspent cartridge just outside the entrance.

An assisting officer pursued the white SUV to 104 North Ocean Boulevard.

While officers waited for the SWAT team to arrive and execute a search warrant on the door, officers watched the door to ensure anyone entered or exited the room, the report said.

During the search, the perpetrator was located and held in the room.

Terbias Jerrod Goff, 33, and Terry Antione Heard, 44, were both arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Goff is charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, if sentenced in addition to life in prison without parole or death, and sale or delivery of a handgun.

Heard will be charged with driving while suspended, attempted murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime unless he is also sentenced to life in prison without parole or death.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
