Lebanon man sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder

In Lebanon County, a jury convicted Jouse Ortiz-Serrano of first-degree murder in connection with a February 2022 shooting and beating. Investigators say Ortiz-Serrano fired 20 shots, hitting 32-year-old Jean Carlos Alvarado Rosado 12 times. The incident occurred on North Eighth Street in Lebanon. Rosado survived the first shooting and tried to escape, but then collapsed. The district attorney says Ortiz-Serrano hit the victim with the murder weapon at the time. Rosado later died from his injuries. Ortiz-Serrano receives life in prison without parole. He was 18 years old at the time of the shooting.
