Philadelphia man charged with murder of woman in Atlantic City

A Philadelphia man was charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting in Atlantic City.

Gregg Page, 34, is accused of killing Carley Elbert, 32, of Sewell, who was found unconscious and unresponsive on the dock near the flagship resort on North Maine Avenue in early August.

Kamille Steward, 29, of Pleasantville, was wounded.

Both women had been shot in the head. Page was arrested later that day.

According to the prosecutor's office, preliminary investigations revealed that both women appeared to have been shot in the head. The official cause and manner of Elbert's death remains to be determined by an autopsy by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office.

Surveillance video showed Page driving the victim's vehicle, according to the probable cause affidavit previously reported by BreakingAC.

It does not say where it was driven or whether the vehicle belonged to Elbert or Stewart.

He is then picked up in another car by brothers Ryan and Ramir Schenck, ages 30 and 27, who have fled to Philadelphia.

Page was charged with murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses. He remains at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia.

The Schenck brothers were also charged with hindering apprehension.

Ramir Schenck is at the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. Ryan Schenck has been transferred out of the Philadelphia system, records show. However, it was not clear where he is currently being held.
