This morning, the Trump campaign announced that the campaign is planning a rally at the Dodge County Airport, N6491 State Highway 26, north of Juneau. The rally will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. The gates will open for entry from 10:00 a.m. Full information about free tickets to the event can be found on the Trump campaign website.

The public reached out to the county for more details about the event. To ensure a safe event and efficient operations for our security staff, the following information is being released today. Details are still being worked out and more information will be released as the event approaches.

We encourage the public to download the Dodge County Sheriff's Office app on your Android or Apple device to stay up to date with information shared by the Sheriff's Office. Please do not call to inquire about our 911 Communications Center or other departments in the county as they have very limited information. Our 911 communications center is also busy with normal operations, receiving emergency calls and dispatching emergency services throughout the district. The best way to get information is to download the Sheriff's Office app and check the news feed for updates.

Below is the current information we can release today:

Traffic Plan: The traffic plan for this event is still in development and further information will be released no later than Saturday, October 5, 2024, prior to the event.

Security: The Sheriff is working with numerous agencies in close collaboration with the U.S. Secret Service to ensure the safety of former President Trump, event attendees and citizens in the county before, during and after the event. The sheriff is ensuring a large and coordinated police presence to complement U.S. Secret Service protection at the event. Law enforcement presence will be heavy at the event.

Attendance: Only people with a ticket (available free of charge through the campaign website) are allowed access to the airport. No one is allowed entry without registering and receiving an admission ticket. The intention is to allow everyone with tickets access to the event, but there are no guarantees. It is hoped that anyone who wishes to attend will be able to, subject to space and safety.

Parking: Parking is expected to take place on the airport premises. Upon arrival, security guards and parking attendants will assist you with on-site parking.

Sheriff Dale Schmidt asks for everyone's patience and cooperation as we plan this event. Our staff will do their utmost to ensure peace and order at this event.
