Child pornography suspect accused of locking children in lockers

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

A new child molestation charge has been filed against a man serving time in the Callaway County Jail on child pornography charges.

Michael C. Jenkins, 32, of Auxvasse, formerly of Boonville, was charged Tuesday with two counts of child abuse and neglect, according to online court records. Boonville police investigators interviewed three children who said Jenkins put them in lockers when they lived in Boonville, according to a probable cause statement.

The lockers could not be opened from the inside and the children told investigators that Jenkins enjoyed locking them up, the statement said. According to the statement, Jenkins also forced food into their mouths when they didn't want to eat.

The statement said the children also accused Jenkins of setting up a camera in the bathroom.

Jenkins allegedly told police that the children enjoyed playing hide-and-seek with the lockers. He denied setting up a camera in the bathroom.

Jenkins has been in the Callaway County Jail since June on charges of possession of child pornography.
