Two specifications of the OnePlus 13 have been leaked and they sound impressive

The OnePlus 12 is considered one of the best smartphones currently available, so there's a lot of anticipation for its upcoming successor, the OnePlus 13. Two critical leaks about the new phone may have been uncovered this week.

First, OnePlus China boss Louis Jie took to Weibo to mention that OnePlus has almost completed the outdoor lighting test of the BOE X2 display. Developed in collaboration with BOE, the quad micro-curved display looks flat but offers slight curves for greater comfort.

Back in July, it looked like the OnePlus 13 would have a flat display like the OnePlus 12. The latest news suggests that this is not necessarily the case. In his post, Jie posted an image showing an example of the display with a camera hole in the middle at the top and curves on all sides. This is assumed to be the OnePlus 13's display, as the OnePlus 12 had a BOE-X1 display.

In another important leak, tipster Yogesh Brar said that the OnePlus 13 will have a 6,000mAh battery. If true, that would be 600 mAh more than the OnePlus 12 and about 1000 mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Brar also noted that the OnePlus 13 would have 100W wired charging power and 50W wireless charging power. The wired charging information was already leaked last month during regulatory filings for the OnePlus 13. The wireless charging number is new and corresponds to the wireless charging power of the OnePlus 12, which uses the AirVOOC standard.

The OnePlus 13 is expected to feature a 6.82-inch display with 2K resolution. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, making it the first smartphone to use this chip. It will arrive ahead of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 series, which is also expected to use the same chip.

We expect the OnePlus 13 to release in December or January. However, it could be revealed as early as this month.
