No injuries were reported after plane crash in Bedford

BEDFORD, Va. – The Wildfire Authority said two occupants of a plane that crashed at New London Airport Wednesday evening were uninjured.

Authorities said they responded to reports of a plane crash at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday. The small passenger plane had a landing gear malfunction.

According to the department, the two people on board denied injuries and were released by medical staff.

There were also 90 gallons of fuel on board and first responders on scene were able to control the hazards and also repair a leak from the left side fuel bladder.

Special forces were also deployed to this incident and were brought back into service as soon as the investigation was deemed appropriate.
