Two men wanted in South Carolina were arrested after a chase in Jones County

JONES COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) – Two men wanted in South Carolina have been arrested after they were discovered in a stolen vehicle in Jones County.

Jones County officers spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Highway 49 out of Baldwin County on Wednesday morning.

Instead of stopping, the driver attempted to elude officers, leading to a chase.

The chase ended when the driver of the stolen car turned into the Canes Crossing neighborhood on Chapman Road. and drove into a dead end.

Officers arrested the passenger, identified as Devon Carl Huguenin.

However, the driver ran into the woods to avoid arrest.

With the help of a K-9 officer and a drone, officers eventually found and arrested the driver, whom they identified as Travis Lamar Harrisson.

Jones County officials said they recovered Ecstasy and weapons in the stolen vehicle.

Authorities also discovered that the two men were wanted in South Carolina.

The pair are now charged in Jones County with fleeing or attempting to elude, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of firearms during the commission of a felony.
