Carlisle School District assures safety after pellet gun incident

The Carlisle Community School District says everyone is safe after a pellet gun incident at the high school Wednesday afternoon. The principal sent a letter to families noting that the incident occurred in the high school parking lot after dismissal. Law enforcement reviewed security footage and determined that a student had pointed a pellet gun at another car. The Carlisle School District states that both similar and real weapons are strictly prohibited on school grounds. The district says student safety is its top priority. Both law enforcement and school administrators have been in contact with the affected students and their families.
