Spend Christmas watching Nicole Kidman have kinky sex

As everyone knows, there is nothing better than coziness, cheerful Christmas carols, a shared family and kinky BDSM sex with your younger co-worker.

So it's going to be a, um, traditional (?) holiday season when Nicole Kidman's raunchy, electrifying new leading lady makes an appearance Baby girl hits theaters on December 25th. (There's never been a better excuse to miss Christmas dinner.)

When the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival earlier this summer, it received rave reviews. Audiences were completely shocked at how far he goes and how brave, compelling and, as is her way, still incredibly humane Kidman's performance is. She took home the award for best actress at the festival.

Now those of us plebeians who haven't been cruising the canals of Italy in a gondola in search of cinema can see what all the fuss is about.

The first trailer was released on Tuesday. It depicts Kidman as a powerful business executive and mother who is clearly on the edge under the pressures of her life. We first see her shy, having narrowly escaped being attacked by a dog on the sidewalk thanks to a handsome young stranger (Harris Dickinson) who distracts the mutt.

Imagine her surprise when the sidewalk savior shows up at her office as her company's new intern and, as fate would have it, is assigned as a mentee in the company's new mentorship program. His bold provocation – “I think you need to be told what to do” – first offends her, then excites her. They then begin a sexual affair in which she indulges all her fantasies about being dominated and controlled as they awkwardly – and occasionally hilariously – explore the dynamics of physical power.

“[The film’s] “True radicalism is evident in its bracingly honest approach to sex, power, and discovering what drives you,” wrote critic Barry Levitt in Venice's review of Obsessed. “This is an exploration of uncomfortable truths about relationships, their boundaries, and how they can shift throughout your life.”

The film, written and directed by body body body' Halina Reijn hits theaters on Christmas Day. Happy Holidays.
