Chavez has played Prince Spencer Stefan Nikolosovich Cassadine since 2021, but the character was first introduced on the soap in 2006. Then he was played by twin baby actors Caden and Nicholas Laughlin, and as the character grew older, he was played by Nathan and Spencer Casamassima. Lance Doven, Davin Ransom, Nicolas Bechtel and Rami Yousef (no, not Ramy Youssef).

While daytime soaps don't often garner the same critical acclaim or awards as expensive streaming miniseries, Chavez was able to showcase a remarkable range of credentials in his 358 episodes as Cassadine. He stalked his mother-in-law and even anonymously gave her a wrapped cockroach, served time in prison, tampered with an art gallery's sprinkler system to rain down fake blood, went back to prison, held a celebrity at knifepoint, and ultimately died after him was injected with a deadly substance and fell overboard into the Seine.

Because it's so common for actors to leave soaps to work on other projects and then return even after their characters are killed off, Chavez isn't as likely to return to Port Charles as he was in January.
