After admitting to cheating, Harris' husband, Doug, accused Emhoff of assaulting his ex-girlfriend

US Vice President Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in 2012 because she flirted with a valet attendant, according to an explosive report.

According to a Daily Mail report, Emhoff allegedly slapped his then-girlfriend so hard that she turned around, citing three friends of the lady who was attacked by the Second Gentleman. The incident occurred after an event at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012.

One of the friends claimed that the woman called her immediately after the incident and informed her about Emhoff's alleged assault.

“It was hard to hear her because she was sobbing,” the friend said.

“She told me that she was with a man and he beat her. It was very clear what she told me. She said she was with a man, her date, she was at the Cannes Film Festival and he hit her. She was in the car with the man at the time.

“I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know if I should call the French police. “I couldn’t reach her after I called back,” the woman allegedly told the friend.

While the woman's identity has not been revealed, she is referred to in the report under her pseudonym “Jane,” which mentions that she is now a successful New York lawyer.

Apparently, Emhoff ended the trip to Cannes early and returned to Los Angeles for his daughter's birthday, and the two never saw each other again. The outlet's report suggests that Emhoff was unapologetic about the entire incident.

Notably, Harris dated Emhoff in 2013 and married him in August 2014, when she was California's attorney general.

Second Gentleman admits fraud

In August, Emhoff admitted to having an extramarital affair with the nanny during his first marriage. Emhoff said he had an affair with Najen Naylor, who taught at the private school his two children attended. The incident happened more than 15 years ago when he was still married to his then wife Kerstin.

“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through difficult times because of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we've handled things as a family and come out the other side stronger,” Emhoff said in a statement to CNN.

The news of the relationship and infidelity was known to Joe Biden's vetting committee four years ago when Harris was undergoing the vice presidential process before being selected as the vice presidential running mate.
